Julian Edelman has taken his social media sport to some other stage.
The New England Patriots receiver tweeted a graphic Friday depicting himself, Tom Brady, Select Gronkowski and Invoice Belichick as individuals of the band Queen on their album art work for “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Edelman captioned the photo with “Bostonian Patsody” — a relatively lame play on words, while you query us.
Here’s Edelman’s hype photo (?) for Sunday’s AFC Divisional Spherical matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers:
Scaramouch! Scaramouch! will you end the Fandango?!
The graphic does elevate a small irony, as Queen, all around the eminent operatic piece of “Bohemian Rhapsody,” announces that thunderbolts and lightning and “very very hideous.” Let’s hope the Patriots don’t part the same awe for Phillip Rivers and Co.
